Chris P. Wolf, CPA, is the founder and president of Wolf CPA, Professional Accountancy Corp.
His resume includes more than twenty-five years of practical accounting experience. Chris had his humble
beginnings as an accounting clerk for a suit manufacturer in the LA garment district back in the mid-90s.
Chris first became interested in accounting while attending Cal State Fullerton, when the career matching
program suggested "accountant." Having no idea of what "accounting" was, he decided to enroll in an
entry level accounting course and loved it. It was as if a light turned on and he decided to pursue an
accounting major with the ultimate goal of becoming a licensed CPA. Chris completed his degree in
Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting at Cal State University San Bernardino, while
concurrently working full-time to support a young family. These were hard years... with early morning
commutes as far as Long Beach and Orange County, followed by late night classes. Chris attributes his
strong work ethic to many experiences. One character-building experiences came when at the age of 19
Chris decided to serve a 2-year missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in the Italy
Rome mission, where he was assigned to live, and learned to speak Italian. It was difficult, experiencing
lots of rejection and missed his family immensely since he was only allowed write letters home and
limited to calling home twice a year. But Chris couldn’t help but fall in love with the lively Italian people
and their rich culture. He reflects on these missionary years fondly and refers to it as the hardest 2 years
of his life. Shortly thereafter, Chris met his lovely wife, Tiffiny, and is celebrating over 30 years of
marriage together. They have 4 children together and enjoy spending time with them, their spouses and
3 of the cutest grandkids. The bulk of Chris’ professional training and experience he gained from a
prestigious local CPA firm, Roorda, Piquet and Bessee (RPB), Inc., where he worked for 6 years as a staff
accountant and serviced all types of business clients. At RPB Chris started as a bookkeeper, but quickly
advanced to a Senior tax/Accounting manager in the firm. In 1999 Chris passed the CPA exam and had
completed enough of the skills and experience required to become a licensed CPA. Although Chris
appreciated this time at RPB and gratitude toward his mentor Jim Roorda, he was starting to feel the
draw for higher things. Chris had a short stint as CFO for Canon Safe, a fast-growing manufacturer in the
Inland Empire, where he assisted upper management and implemented procedures resulting in
thousands of dollars of savings for the business. But soon realized that private accounting was not
utilizing all his skills. So, in 2002, without any clients or book of business, Chris took a chance, spread his
wings, and started WOLF CPA in Yucaipa. With lots of marketing and lots of prayers, business started to
grow and grow quickly. He hired 2 new staff members, and in 2006, they relocated to a bigger office in downtown
Redlands where he is today. Chris attributed his success to a healthy work ethic, combined with his prior
big firm experience, willingness to serve, and a love of God, which has resulted in a thriving firm which
now services small to mid-sized businesses, non-profits and individuals throughout Southern California
and beyond. Wolf CPA is a corporate accounting firm specializing in various businesses, including medical
and dental professionals, attorneys, building and sub-contractors, manufacturing, restaurants, retail and
other service related industries. Chris prides himself on being your "non-typical" accountant and enjoys
hobbies such as cross-fit, mountain biking, shooting sports, scuba diving, camping and traveling.
